“Dubious Risks” Released

“Dubious Risks,” the twelfth book in the Gate Ghosts series, is available on Amazon U.S. in ebook. Softcover print is out too. A glossary (PDF) will be available on my website before the audiobook is released.

I recommend reading the previous two series of the Earthers’ saga, The Silver Ships and Pyreans, to understand some of the nuances in this third series.

Summary: The conclave continually pressures the Imperium Empire by ousting peacekeepers and Radag mercenaries from imperial territories. This interdicts resources bound for Krackus worlds from the suborned races and exacerbates Imperium distribution protocols.

You need to include a pronunciation guide for the “unpronounceable” alien words. Even better, a file linking each word to an audio file.

Martin, I realize my alien names are a challenge, but it’s not much different on Earth today with its +7,000 languages. As for my work, I’ve only so much times in a day to ensure my small business thrives and publishes ebooks, softcovers, and audiobooks on a regular basis. Sorry I can’t help on this one.

Another great read! I’ve enjoyed reading all of you books…again and again. I can’t wait for the next one. Any hint to when that will happen?

Hello Colleen, I would have replied with the usual timeline, except my wife heavily sprained her ankle two weeks ago. As such, I’ve taken over all the household and shopping duties. My best guess for release is somewhere in the first half of April, hopefully!

I have a hard time reading other books in the same genre as your series. Your series, in my opinion, sets the bar high. I know other authors have good writings. I just really enjoy your style. Thank you for yet another beautiful addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next one.

P.S I hope your wife has a speedy recovery. Sprained ankles are never any fun.

One of the reasons I felt compelled to write and publish my first novel was that enjoyable sci-fi stories were getting few and far between. I wanted to write the kind of stories that I would like to read. That thought is always with me, day in and day out, as I craft a plot, chapter, or scene. I’m grateful that you and other readers appreciate my efforts. Thank you!

P.S. My wife makes a terrible patient. The good news is that the swelling is done, and she’s able to walk gingerly for short distances. Full recovery is still two or more weeks away. Thank you for your kind wish for her.
