“Allied Enemies,” the eighth book in the Gate Ghosts series, is available on Amazon U.S. in ebook. Glossaries (PDF) are now available on my website at every novel’s webpage.
I recommend reading the previous two series of the Earthers’ saga, The Silver Ships and Pyreans, to understand some of the nuances in this third series.
Summary: Tensions escalate across the Imperium Empire, as the Dwerves hunt for new Krackus worlds to raid. The Imperium executors hope to put an end to the huge armed ship’s rampage, and they delegate the task to experienced imperators.
well, it appears this book was a little underwhelming. not that there weren’t interesting plots lines, sisters, Dwerves, and Radags, but not as much seat of your pants action i suppose. did enjoy it tho i think Dwerve story line is gonna get complicated again for conclave eventually. fixin to read again.
wow, now i’m totally shocked none of the blogging faithful have said a peep about this book. granted it isn’t exciting except for one chapter, but it fleshed out many plotlines. conclave has been turning up the heat. come on folks give it some love. enjoy the blogs
Actually, Dave, most of the comments about “Allied Enemies” have come to me directly via email. Overall, the reviews have been superlative. Two individuals rated this book only second to Silver Ships #1. Nearly everyone commented that it was by far the best story of the Gate Ghost series. As always, I do appreciate everyone’s support.
It’s April, everyone in the US is probably doing their taxes.
After reading this book I’ve decided that Cremsylon is Alex’s successor. He’s the one Sade who is making the first contacts with potentially hostile world leaders. It makes sense that he normally travels with the Protectors, Z and Miranda. Yes, Julian made first contact with the Quellers, but they weren’t a potential hostile.
That’s an interesting take on Cremsylon, Mike. As the eldest SADE, I think he brings unusual qualities to the stories. As well, I believe his adoption of the mickies and clones, many of who are still aboard the Alexander, would have have made an impact on his outlook.
Mr. Jucha, you have done it again. I love “Allied Enemies”!!! I even dreamt about planning a birthday party for one of the aliens . {Sorry, I don’t remember which one} Hahaha. I also dreamt that I was driving my minivan and trying to land on a planet!!! I didn’t get to land because I didn’t have all the correct landing paperwork!!! That’s how much I have enjoyed your books. Keep writing, Scott.
It’s wonderful to hear I’m firing your imagination, Lucy. Just remember to enjoy dreaming of the stories while you’re not driving. 😉
next book June or July? so excited
It’s looking like the very end of June, Dave.
I love the new adventure. Its a wonderful boat ride on the cosmic stream. Tally ho! I await the next chapter.
Imaginative phrasing, Colleen. Much appreciate the imagery!
