β€œAlliance,” the fourteenth novel in the Silver Ships series, is now available on Amazon. The print version will follow soon.

Please read the Author’s Note at the novel’s beginning.

Summary: Olawale Wombo is sent to assist Earth to uplift its technological prowess. With the aid of the incomparable SADEs, advanced tech is transferred to the Sol Enclave.

Earth’s desire to know what happened to their colony ships sent to the stars a millennium ago is resurrected.

Would have thought that Edmas and the other engineers would be making a larger version of the shadows with mounted stun guns or Loopah launchers to take the domes before the defenders and ground teams moved in.

Remember the purposes of Olawale’s visit to Sol and then the expedition. In the first case, it was to upgrade Sol technology. The SADEs accomplished that via data transfer. In the second case, it was to locate the descendants of the “Belle.” The Omnians didn’t sail aboard a city-ship, which could have offered them its huge storage capacity, and they weren’t accompanied by freighters. This served to limit their supplies. Lastly, the shadows would have had to have been significant in size to accomplish what you purpose. They would have required large power crystals. This was something else the the expedition wasn’t prepared to supply.

Thanks for continuing this amazing series. Hands down my favorite sci-fi series in a very long time. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to… get the dust out of my eyes while reading each book.

Gah, I need to slow my reading down… I flew thru the book and now have to wait, but I think re-reading it again might be good at a slower pace. Keep up the good work, not to rush you any but the next book is probably Spring 2020 correct?

Hello Judd, personally, I was always a sip-and-savor kind of guy! πŸ˜‰ I’m anticipating releasing “SADEs,” book #15 in the Silver Ships series, in January 2020.

Thank you for the news about the next book good sir.

I have two questions though, we know of 3 colony ships, were there more ships sent out?

And, do you have or have thought about a forum or wiki for your book series, not unlike some other authors? as it would be nice to have a wiki or something for info regarding the series, or even 3 view drawings of the ships mentioned in the books.

Hello Judd, I’ve tried to limit my non-writing efforts to responding to emails and website contacts, comments on my blogs, signing up individuals to my announcement lists, posting on Facebook and blog, and announcements via MailChimp. If I try to take on anymore, I’ll impact my writing time. That will get me into a world of trouble with my readers, who have expectations of the next book coming tout suite!

Somewhere in my earlier novels, readers discovered that five colony ships were launched from Earth’s outer orbit. So far, my novels have detailed the stories of only three of them. There are no immediate plans for introducing the other two. Thanks for asking!

Excellent continuation of an incredible story. I have fully enjoyed reading every single silver ships and pyreans book. My only disappointment is having to wait until January’s release of SADEs. Please keep up the excellent writing

I’m glad you enjoyed “Alliance,” Eli. Think of the wait as building the anticipation. Then, if I deliver a good story with “SADEs”, it’ll be even more satisfying. πŸ™‚

Rereading Alliance. In the chapter with the Pakeos vs. the Dorgatha, the moral is “Don’t irritate a hungry engineer.” πŸ™‚

Recently started some rereading, and I have put my finger on what bugged me about this book.
In Wrath of Khan when the Reliant didn’t respond to hail, Savok questions Kirk’s decision to not raise shields.
No one questioned Cpt. Bellardo’s order to use potentially lethal force against an enemy that Omnians and Earthers knew nothing about, not even the species of whom they were about to fire upon.
The next thing to bother me was, why send Omnian and Earther security to fight the Colony in the dome? How many lives is a star-map worth? Why not provide transport for Sylian troops to subjugate and regain control of the dome?

Ambrose, thank you for your comments and questions. However, I never saw “Wrath of Khan.” So, I can’t judge the comparison you made. Also, it’s been fifteen novels and three and a half years since I published “Alliance.” Thus, I would need to spend some time rereading parts of the novel to reply to your questions. Unfortunately, right now, my time is severely limited. Perhaps, in the future, I can find some time to consider you questions, reread the relative portions of “Alliance,” and respond to your posting.

I’m surprised you’ve not seen, what most fans consider, the best movie of the Star Trek franchise.
As someone who most days has trouble remembering what I had for breakfast, I completely understand not recalling details of your book from over 3 years ago.
