Espero Audiobook Release!

For those individuals that enjoy their dose of the Silver Ships series in audiobook form, “Espero” has been released through Amazon and Audible.

Grover Gardner is still narrating the series. Thanks, Grover!

It is wednesday, I have deleted the old version on my comp and downloaded again. It doesn’t look like it was updated yet.

I checked audible again on friday, it still gives me the one with missing audio. If audible did propagate the fixed version, they likely are only giving new buyers the fixed version. I replyed back to your email.

Hi K, that’s what was explained to me by the head engineer at Blackstone Audio. I’m not familiar with Audible, never having been a customer, but the same sort of thing happens with an Amazon ebook customer. The copy you purchase stays in your Kindle library and isn’t updated by changes the author makes later. I realize this technique has pros and cons. One con is that improvements aren’t relayed to the readers unless the author requests it and Amazon authorizes it. A pro is that if the book is removed from the author’s listing, for any reason, your copy is preserved. I’ll send you an email later this Saturday.

You’re welcome, K. Your communication helped me to understand a part of the distribution of audiobooks that was unknown to me. So, thank you.
