“Alliance” Audiobook Released

The audiobook for “Alliance,” the fourteenth novel in the Silver Ships series, is available on Amazon and Audible as of December 24, 2019.

The Silver Ships series is narrated by Grover Gardner, who is a talented voice-over artist. He’s received multiple awards during his career for the quality of his narrations.

I hope you enjoy my newest audiobook release through Blackstone Audio.

“SADEs” will be released sometime in January. I don’t have a target date. My editor and most of my proofreaders have been on vacation over the year-end holidays.

Not a problem, I have decided to listen to all the books from the start via Audible, my only concern is the narrator reminds me of the narrators of the old film strips I suffered thru in high school. Otherwise quite nice. Also, I think The Silver Ships is a mild misnomer as we no longer have silver ships appear in the series.

If you prefer listening instead of reading, Judd, the “SADEs” audiobook will be released in late March or early April. Your comment on Grover Gardner is surprising. In five years, I’ve received nothing but glowing comments about him. Yours is the first negative one. It shows that we all have our preferences. As to the name of the series, I intended to write a trilogy. However, the stories became so popular that I kept creating more. Even in hindsight, I doubt I would have a clue as to what to call the series.

That’s a good one, K! I can hear the snare drum strikes now … tah-dum! Then again, I’m looking at the date on my computer. And what do you know? It says 2020! My, how time flies! Happy New Year! 🙂

Its not a negative per se, more an observation, he sounds like the old film strip narrators, however unlike them, he is more engaging and actually has some variation to his voice. I kind of like it actually. And as far as listening to the books, I don’t normally have the time to listen to them, my commute to work is about 15 minutes each way, but I am trying it out and seeing how I like it, reading a book is going to always be my favorite. For the name, The Silver Ships is a perfect name for it, and I can’t think of anything else to call it.

Just started getting and listening to the Audiobooks (have and read all the e-books already) and the first thing i did after listening to the first few mins was stop and research Grover and sure enough he did the Vorkosigan (Lois McMaster Bujold) series, which was one of my favorite audio books because of his voice… SO now i am working through them all because the stores are so engaging in his voice!

I do have a question about Sades, Is it following Alliance in the mixed (Pyreans and Silver Ships) storyline or is it more focused on the Silver ships side of the galaxy? Or Both?

Also i was thinking of listening up to Sojourn on the silver ships series then switching to listening to the Pyreans before going back into Alliance since there seems to be a good “flashback” point at the end of Sojourn, or do you think there is a better order when attacking the whole series? (I read them as they came out because i couldn’t help myself so just trying to figure out the best narrative way to listen to them all)
